Cats just want to have fun !

I spend a lot of my time watching things. I especially love to sit in my carpeted cat tree and look out the sliding door. There are things moving out there.

There is not much moving going on in here. My human gets out of bed, feeds me, then sits in front of a brightly-lit thing while making tapping noises with her claws all day. I don't understand how this can be remotely interesting!

Sometimes, I lay beside her while she makes the tapping noises. I usually fall asleep and dream of playing with those things that move on the other side of the sliding door. In those dreams, I am running and catching everything that I see.

I can tell that the human wants to move sometimes. She stretches, dances around, and tries to tease me with a toy. I know that the toy is not moving on its own, but it is nice to have an excuse to run around for awhile. It seems to make my human happy to have an excuse to run around too.

After awhile, my human says that it is time to get back to work and I start watching again.

If we all like to move, why can't we do it more often?

Coffee

My human loves coffee but says that the caffeine does not like her. I have to agree because when she has drunk a lot of it during the day, she will just not stay still at night! She fidgets and makes it very tough for me to find a nice comfortable spot where I can get my rest and still keep an eye on her.

Apparently, many humans have similar problems with caffeine. To get the taste but not the jitters, my human started drinking a mix of decaffeinated and regular coffee. Recently she was told by a major coffee chain that they stop brewing decaffeinated coffee at noon.

Does this make sense? Isn't that just when humans would want to drink the stuff?
I've linked my favorite video. I want to learn to play !
